57 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer today and a further 9 will lose their life. Those are our mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends. We want to make a difference to the lives of those 57 Australians impacted by the disease - that is why we are taking on the 57 Squat Challenge to raise vital funds for world-class breast cancer research. But we need your help.
The 57 Squat Challenge is a commitment to perform 57 squats ever day during the month of March, in recognition of the 57 people diagnosed with breast cancer every day around Australia.
Throughout the month of March, the Growplay team will be doing 57 squats a day. We will be documenting our progress on social media, sharing videos and photos of our daily squats and encouraging our followers to support the cause. We are also encouraging our customers and community to join us in the challenge and help raise funds for The National Breast Cancer Foundation.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) funds world-class, pioneering research. Ongoing research is critical to better understand, prevent, detect and treat breast cancer and ultimately create a better future for the 57 Australians diagnosed with the disease every day. As a completely community-funded organisation, NBCF’s ability to support game-changing breast cancer research relies solely on the funds raised and donated by its supporters.
NBCF are working towards one vision: Zero Deaths from breast cancer. The money raised from the 57 Squat Challenge will go towards research to help achieve this. Together, we can help stop deaths from breast cancer.
