Choose your product range below to check its warranty cover. The shared conditions and claim process apply to all three ranges.

Monkey Bars frames

10 years

Manufacturing defects and faults in the steel frame.

Powder coating: 1 year. The frame’s powder coating has a separate coverage period.

The 10-year frame warranty applies to purchases from 1 October 2021. Earlier purchases have a 5-year frame warranty.

Monkey Bars accessories

1 year

Manufacturing defects and faults in Growplay Monkey Bars accessories.

Promotional free items: 3 months. Free items included with a Monkey Bars purchase have a separate coverage period.

Growplay Junior

3 years

Manufacturing defects and faults in Growplay Junior products, except fabric items and their stitching.

Fabric items and stitching: 1 year. This includes shade roofs, fabric shade panels and mattress covers.

Junior has its own coverage periods. The Monkey Bars frame and accessory periods do not apply to Junior.

Shared warranty conditions

These conditions apply to Monkey Bars frames, Monkey Bars accessories and Growplay Junior. This voluntary warranty covers faults, defects or failures resulting from manufacture. It is provided to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

The coverage periods above and the exclusions below do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Care and installation

Assemble your product in accordance with the Growplay user manual. This warranty does not cover failure caused by incorrect installation, including installation provided by a third-party assembly service. Check all boxes and confirm that all components are included and in the correct condition before installing.

Follow the care and maintenance guidance in your product manual. Accelerated deterioration caused by insufficient care or maintenance is not covered.

Wear, weather and coastal exposure

Normal wear and tear is not covered. This includes stitching wear through use, rusting or surface rust on steel components, and UV deterioration of fabric components.

Weather damage, including damage from rain or wind, is not covered. If your product is damaged by a weather event, you may wish to contact your home and contents insurer.

Steel components: this warranty does not apply where the product is assembled within 1.6 km of a salt-water environment or is subject to ocean spray.

Intended use and other exclusions

The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, inappropriate use, negligence or accidents. Use the product only for its intended activities, not professional gymnastics or other unintended sports. The warranty is void if non-Growplay components or accessories, such as third-party swings or shade covers, are used with the product. Repairs or replacement parts needed because of inappropriate actions are not covered.

Growplay products are intended for domestic or personal use. Commercial use, including use in play centres, community organisations, schools or amusement parks, voids the listed warranty period. Growplay may reject a warranty claim on the basis of suspected overuse in a commercial setting.

Minor imperfections that meet the design specifications and do not materially affect functionality are not covered. This voluntary warranty does not cover personal injury or losses arising from wear and tear, weather conditions, inappropriate installation, insufficient care, inappropriate use, negligence or accidents. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

How to make a claim

  1. Contact us first. Email your order number, a description of the issue and supporting photos to support.au@growplaymonkeybars.com.
  2. We’ll assess the issue. For an accepted claim under this voluntary warranty, Growplay replaces the faulty or defective parts free of charge. Contact us before returning anything.
  3. Confirm freight arrangements. Return shipping and shipping of replacement parts are the customer’s responsibility under this voluntary warranty, except where Australian Consumer Law requires Growplay to cover those costs. If you are entitled to reimbursement, send your freight receipts to our support team.

This voluntary warranty provides replacement parts for accepted claims. It does not remove any entitlement to a repair, replacement, refund or compensation under Australian Consumer Law.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights

The benefits provided by this warranty are in addition to your other rights and remedies under the law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
